Roma & Chris

I shot Roma & Chris' wedding on July 22 at Maggiano's in Los Angeles. They had a great intimate wedding with their closest friends and family that included a beautiful, touching ceremony and a fun party -- complete with bubbles everywhere!

Their son Benjamin was such a cutie and was so fun to photograph, as was Ben's cousin Ethan.

I want to thank Roma, her sister Rosana and their mother for being so kind and concerned at the beginning of the day. I had an accident that involved my car door and my thumb (seriously no fun) and they were so sweet, understanding and helpful. Though despite the accident and some painful moments in operating my cameras, I made it through and got some great photos of the special day.

Roma & Chris, I hope you had a great time in Hawaii!

Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day:

The beautiful gown. Simple and classy.

It was a little hectic at the house where Roma was getting ready and everyone was a little stressed (which is totally normal!)... I captured this moment right before Roma realized I was shooting. I showed her the image and she told me, "You better keep that one!" -- Of course I would! :)

The beautiful bride all ready to go:

The handsome groom showing off his grandfather's cuff links. I love it when the bride and groom can incorporate family heirlooms into their special day!

Roma's mother walked her down the aisle. Such lovely women...

Little Benjamin silently watching the ceremony on the lap of his Aunt Rosana. I can't believe how quiet and interested he was the whole time!

A few romantics of the happy couple:

Little Benjamin and Ethan taking full advantage of the bubble machine. I just love this moment.

Congratulations!

Yanet & Jose's Wedding!

Like many other couples around the country, Yanet and Jose chose 7.7.07 as their wedding date. What a popular day to get married! Not only is it right smack in the middle of traditional wedding season, it was thought to be a lucky day to get married. Every wedding photography blog I frequently visit (and I visit many for inspiration, knowledge and just for fun) had a great wedding story from the day...

Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.

Yanet & Jose's daughter Eileen was such a cutie to photograph!

And she had a great time carrying the train of Yanet's dress as she walked down the aisle. So cute.

Here's one of my favorite romantic shots of the day. I'm a sucker for the sun-flare-coming-through-the-trees look! :)

Jose's sister was a bridesmaid and found a little time while taking photos to take off the heels and relax.

The kids saw the adults dancing and decided to try it out. So precious!

Their first dance was outside right after sunset... I just love the colors of desert sunsets.

Congratulations you guys! I wish you all the best!

Meet The Signet Ring...

I ventured away from photographing weddings a few weeks ago to do a pretty impromptu photo shoot for Ryan's band -- The Signet Ring. They have been hard at work writing songs and developing their sound since early 2006 and recently finished recording their demo album. In fact, I just heard the album in its entirety for the first time today, and it is amazing! I cannot wait to see what happens with them... they are all so amazing with music (and I'm not just saying that because Ryan is the guitarist)... they, as a band, really are a talented creative force. Not to mention, they're a pretty good-looking group making it easy to get some good photos of them! :)

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the evening... Stay tuned for more in the near future as we are already thinking about concepts for another shoot. And please, check them out on Myspace @ www.myspace.com/thesignetring -- there are no songs posted as of today, but they should be getting some tracks up soon!

The flowers as a background was actually Camille's idea... Such a great idea! I just love it...

This was up by the train tracks.. Isn't Camille beautiful?

Another by the train tracks with a different effect:

I just love this shot for some reason. We just drove until we found this huge rock by the side of the road... I love the textures in the rock and spontaneity in their poses.

Ryan was really into getting shots of them walking with the sun behind them. I had a lot of fun with this one adding textures and playing with the colors:

Christine & Bryan's Wedding!

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to post anything in so long... I usually try to post within a few days of doing a shoot, but this one is long overdue...

I shot Christine and Bryan's Wedding on June 2nd with Kim Fox and it was a gorgeous day! Christine and Bryan met a few years ago while attending UCLA together and are quite possibly the sweetest couple. Everyone who made a toast at the reception had nothing but the nicest things to say about them as individuals and as a couple.

It was really great to be able to photograph their wedding and I wish them all the best in starting their lives together!

Really beautiful details:

One of my favorite romantic shots of the year: (...thanks to some interesting lighting and inspiration from Kim.)

Just before the garter toss... I love all of the expressions of the guys in the background.
